Welcome to the School Association Web Page.  We will be using this page to let you know all about our forthcoming fund-raising events.  We welcome any feedback you have on our events and please feel free to contact us with any ideas or suggestions for future fund-raising events.  The School Association meet generally once a month at 7.45pm in the School Hall and would like to hear any ideas or suggestions you may have.  When your child joins St Cuthbert's, as a parent you automatically become a member of the School Association.

Firstly let me say welcome back to a new school year (a little bit late!) and thanks to all the new and old committee members who have been running the School Association in the absence of a chair person, please see a list of members at the end of the newsletter.
                                            
There is of course our biggest fundraiser of the year this week which we are eagerly awaiting and hope you will all be attending....

Christmas Fete-Sunday 27h November
Our fair has come around quickly this year and we will be celebrating the first Sunday of Advent at the Jurgen centre after 11am Mass. Tickets are now on sale at £3 per adult (to include Turkey roll, stuffing and salad) and £2 for children (including a ‘proper’ hot dog!)  As usual tickets are available from your reps, and on the day.

With the date ever approaching I would like to politely ask for any donations towards the Fayre. Year 1 are manning the cake stall and would be grateful for any donations bought or shop made are both fine! Reception have the sweets and toys so please speak to Liz Mendes or Monica Goddard if you think you could help with these. Year 2 have the bar and 4 are serving the delicious lunch so again please speak to the class reps if you have any ideas / donations to help them out. Finally year 3 are asking for donations of pine cones and baubles for their arts and crafts stall.

The Christmas Fayre is our biggest fundraiser of the year thanks to the auction and therefore we very much need your help with donating as many fabulous gifts as possible, please pass any items to your class reps. It doesn’t always have to be expensive items however and sometimes thinking outside of the box with talents you may have to offer goes down extremely well, please speak to Vanessa Kane if you can help in anyway

Father Christmas will be arriving at the fair at 12.15pm; tickets to see him are priced at £2.50 and will be available outside school from Monday 21st and as well as on the day.
As with all of our school events we do rely heavily on the parents for all the contributions and we would like to thank you in advance for making the Fayre such a success.

Bottle Mufti – Friday 18th November
All children are invited to wear their own clothes and in support of the Christmas Fair a donation of a bottle for the tombola would be gratefully appreciated.

Advent Mass – Thursday 24th November
Advents mass to be held in the school hall at 9am with refreshments served after from the school association, all parents are welcome.

KS1 Nativity & KS2 Reflection
The key stage 1 Nativity will be on Thursday 8th and Friday 9th December at 2pm and the Key stage 2 Christmas celebrations are  on Thursday 1st at 7pm and Friday 2nd December at 2pm, refreshments will be served afterwards.

100 Club
We currently still have a few places on our 100 club lotto left to be filled, If we have 100 members at the time of the draw first prize will be a lovely £100, a good start to the festive period! Please speak to your class reps if you would like to join.
