Home Learning
Home Learning is published on Seesaw on a Wednesday and should be handed in the following Monday morning.
Year 5 children are expected to read for at least 20 minutes, 3 times a week.
Home learning will consist of weekly spellings, Maths and English will alternate. They are set a test on spag.com and Times Table Rockstars. Children are also expected to complete either RE, Science or Foundation subject homework every week.
Enrichments
Autumn Term - Geography walk in Englefield Green to look at the changes in the local area as well as an immersive history dress up day to celebrate the Anglo Saxons. Egham Museum came to visit the class to share information about the local area in the Saxon times.
Spring Term - To enhance learning about the Vikings, the class go on a school trip to Ufton Court to be immersed in Viking life with workshops including battle formations, trade and burial rituals. In RE, the class visit the local Church, Assumption of Our Lady.
Summer Term - In RE, visitors from the Staines Synagogue share their experiences living as a Jew. They share artefacts and answer the children's questions.
