Please note, for the 2021/22 Academic Year we currently have spaces in
Year R, Year 3, Year 4 and Year 5.
For all other year groups, you can still submit your application and your child will be put on our waiting list. If you are interested in a space for your child, please contact our Admissions team by email. For further information on how to apply, please see the section below on 'In-Year Applications'.
Applications for Reception Place September 2022
In order to apply for a Reception place for September 2022, parents must complete the
Surrey on-line Application Form (Common Application Form (CAF)) by 15th January 2022.
The School's Supplementary form 2021-22 (which is available on this page further down) must also be completed and returned to the school by 15th January 2022.
Open Mornings will be held at 9am on Wednesday 13th October and 9am on Tuesday 9th November 2021. These open mornings are especially for parents of children who are due to start school in the reception class in September 2022. During the open morning, prospective parents will meet the Headteacher, a Governor and some of our children who will show our visitors around the School. Please do email our School Office to book for your preferred date.
Further information on School applications can be found on Surrey County Council's website.
If you are interested in making an In-Year application you are more than welcome to join our open mornings in the autumn term. Alternatively, if you are looking later on, please contact the School Office (firstname.lastname@example.org) to discuss times for a tour of the school.
In-Year Application process:
When applying to St Cuthbert's Catholic Primary School outside of the normal Admissions round, you will need to complete and return the following TWO forms to the Admissions Team at the School email@example.com:
1. the Surrey 'School Managed Application for in-year application' form (SMA) which can be found by clicking here; and
2. the Supplementary Information Form of St Cuthbert's Catholic School, which can be found below. Please ensure you select the correct form relevant to the admissions year.
Applications are processed as quickly as possible, usually within 15 working days of receiving your fully completed application form.
However, applications received towards the end of the summer term or during the summer holidays may not receive an outcome until the start of the autumn term, due to the school being closed.
Important information on policies and procedures
Please note, determined admissions arrangements must be displayed on a school's website for the whole offer year (the school year in which offers for places are made) as it will apply to in-year applications. Therefore, please be sure to refer to the correct Admissions Policy and Supplementary Information Form.
The Admissions Policy outlines the oversubscription criteria, according to which applicants are ranked and subsequently offered a place. This applies to both, normal round application and in-year applications. In the Supplementary Information Form (SIF) you are able to express a preference for a place at the school in connection to one of the faith criteria. We therefore strongly recommend that both forms (CAF OR SMA) AND Supplementary Information Form are completed and returned by the deadline.
If you do not complete and return the SIF to the school together with all supporting documents by the closing date, your child may not be placed in the appropriate faith criterion. This is likely to affect your child’s chance of being offered a place.
Information on Parish Boundaries can be found here.
If a place is not offered because of over-subscription, the child’s name will be placed on a waiting list. The list will be in the descending hierarchical order of the categories in the admissions criteria. The list will continue for the year group until the end of the academic year. If a place is offered and declined the child’s name will be removed from the waiting list.
Parents/carers who wish their child’s name to remain on a waiting list beyond this time are requested to contact the school in writing by the end of July 2023 and complete the In-Year application form (See paragraph above).
The School also holds a waiting list for In-Year Applications should we be unable to offer at the time of application. Please note that all waiting lists are updated at the end of each academic year and should parents/carers wish their child to remain on the waiting list for the following academic year, a new application form will need to be completed and submitted by the end of July each year. If the application is not renewed, the child's name will be removed from the waiting list.
It should be noted that no matter how long a child’s name has been on the waiting list, his or her position on the list may change if the school adds a child’s name to the list, which has a higher priority according to the oversubscription criteria.
