St Cuthbert's Catholic

Primary School

Admissions

St Cuthbert's is a very popular and successful school. This page will help you to understand the process for applying for a place at the school and provide all appropriate information for helping you to make your application.  A map of the Parish of Egham can be found at the bottom of this page.

Should you have any questions on this or any aspect of school admissions, please contact admissions@stcuthberts.surrey.sch.uk.

Open Mornings

Open mornings take place every autumn term for parents of children who are due to start school in EYFS the following academic year. Dates will be published in September.

During the Open Mornings you will be meeting the Headteacher, tour the school and ask questions of a governor from the admissions committee. While there is nothing you need to do in preparation for the Open Morning, we kindly ask that you contact the school office when you are planning to attend to enable us to cater for the right amount of people. We look forward to seeing you.

If you are thinking of making an 'In-Year' application and would like a tour of the school or more information please contact the school office.

School Admission Appeals - Arrangements for Covid-19

The Department of Education is in the process of drafting temporary regulation measures which will disapply certain elements of the School Admission Appeal Code to take the current situation – in particular around social distancing - into consideration. It is anticipated that the regulatory changes will come into force later this month.

Specifically, the new regulations, which will be in force until 31 January 2021, will:

  • Disapply the requirement that appeal panels must be held in person and instead give flexibility for the panel hearing to take place either in person, by telephone, video conference or through paper-based appeals where all parties can make representations in writing;
  • Relax the rules with regards to what happens if one of the three panel members withdraws (temporarily or permanently) to make it permissible for the panel to continue with and conclude the panel as a panel of two; and
  • Amend the deadlines relating to appeals for the time that the new regulations are in force.

The regulations are currently pending Parliamentary approval. We will provide a further update once the regulations and guidance are available.

Admissions policy documents

Admissions policy documents must be displayed on a school's website for a 'whole offer year'. As such please be sure to refer to the correct links below when checking policies or downloading Supplementary Information Forms.

Please ensure that when applying, in addition to the local authority application you will also need to complete the School's Supplementary Information Form and hand in to the school by the same deadline - further information can be found in the school's Admission's policy.

In Year Admissions: In year applications are made to join an existing year group within a school. St Cuthbert's uses the Surrey 'School Managed In Year Application Form' (SMAS). It can be found by clicking on the following link.
