Ancient Greek Theatre

Our summer enquiry question: Can anyone produce play?

It only seemed fitting that we travelled back to where theatre began- the Ancient Greeks!

Miss Thompson had set up a quiz for us to complete. We had to find out the answers to the questions, the answers were all around the studio,

Here are some of the great facts we found out:

- There were three main types of dramas: tragedies, plays and satyrs.

- The stories were told by the chorus, which usually had 12-15 members.

-They did not have sets or use props.

-They used masks to show emotions and to signify that an actor had changed characters.

-Only men were aloud to be in the productions.
