ERPSSA - Elmbridge and Runnymede Primary School Sport Association

ERPSAA is the Elmbridge and Runnymede Primary School Sport Association. The PE lead attends termly meetings and ensures the children at St. Cuthbert's are entered into a range of activities and competitions.

Fun Fact: A competition was run by ERPSSA to design their new emblem. One of our St. Cuthbert's children won and now her design is proudly displayed on their website and communications.

Football - Year Five and Six girls and boys

Our teams all play in the ERPSSA league.

League matches go ahead in the Autumn and Spring terms. In addition to this, we have entered the knockout cup competition and the ERPSSA annual tournament.

24/25 highlights:

Y5 football tournament winners

Y5 football 2nd place in the league

Y6 football 3rd place in the league

Dodgeball

St. Cuthbert's enter this tournament every year. We take a mix of Y5 and Y6 children who have shown excellent skills in their dodgeball lessons, as well as those who top up their skills in the after-school dodgeball club.

Autumn 2024 - The children played really well and came 4th place with just 3 points between them and the winners. They displayed excellent sportsmanship and we are very proud of them.

Netball

The netball club runs after school and we enter the Y5 and Y6 leagues depending on numbers on roll in the club.

24/25 highlights:

2nd place in the Y6 league

Cross Country

We enter this event every year in the Spring Term. It is a great community event at Notredame School where children arrive bright and early with their parents who make the most amazing cheer squad.

2025 highlights:

All of our 36 children ran their socks off and represented us well. A few performances to note were William in Y5 placing 4th, Matilda in Y6 placing 2nd and the Y5 boys coming 2nd overall.

Panathalon

This is a competitive event for any child on the SEN register. We entered in 2025 for the first time and sent 7 children.

2025 highlights:

Placed 3rd and received a bronze medal and certificate.

Runnymede Sportability

Children enjoyed a range of events including line dancing, wheelchair rugby, boccia, football and boxing. The children enjoyed the day so much. Alexander said, 'We did rugby but it was in a wheelchair. It was so much fun using the wheelchair to move around the hall.'
