Platinum Jubilee Celebrations June 2022

On 7th June 2022, from 3pm to 5.30pm, we will be celebrating Her Majesty The Queen's Platinum Jubilee with a picnic on the the school field - details are below.

Before the picnic, the Worshipful the Mayor of Runnymede, Cllr Margaret Harnden, will officially open the prayer garden. The prayer garden is the Year 6 Ambassadors' Jubilee project that you so generously made possible, and which was supported by Homebase Staines and Englefield Building Contractors. For more on this please go to: Prayer garden | St Cuthbert's Catholic Primary School (stcuthberts.surrey.sch.uk)

We have invited the Mayor to join us at our picnic.

At our Jubilee picnic there will be a bouncy castle and some inflatable carnival games!

The bouncy castle will be a suggested donation of at least £2.50 a go and the inflatable games will be £1 a go.

Cakes and lollies!

In addition to you bringing your own food, several families have kindly agreed to bake. Cakes will be on sale at 50p or £1 and we also hope to be selling ice pops for 50p each at the start of the picnic. If you are kind enough to bake, please label your ingredients and do not include nuts or products that may contain/have been contaminated by nuts. Given that items have been prepared in domestic kitchens, despite care and attention being paid by our lovely bakers, we suggest you do not purchase cake if you have allergies or dietary requirements.

We are still looking for volunteers - please email pta@stcuthberts.surrey.sch.uk or contact your rep.

Safeguarding and practical information

The field gate on Corby Drive will be open from approximately 2.45pm and access and egress will be via this gate throughout. Please do not exit via other gates unless in an emergency. We plan for someone to be monitoring the gate, but your children will be your responsibility at this event, so please encourage them to play away from the gate and where you can see them. Ball games should be focused on the area of the field closest opposite the staff car park but close to the boundary with the St Peter's Centre please.

Children who do not attend the school and adults must use the studio toilet only. St Cuthbert's children may use the Year 5 and 6 toilets, but no adult should enter these toilets, so please ensure that any child using these toilets does not require assistance. There is no other access to the school building.
