St Cuthbert's Catholic

Primary School

Project

The RE units for Spring term are:

Books

Thanksgiving

Opportunities

Our RE topics have shaped the concepts (or as we call them in Year Two 'ideas') feeding our project this term are:

Change, Well-being, Belonging and Tradition.

All of these ideas have created the enquiry question of ;

How does climate impact the way we live?

Year Two will be looking at England, The Arctic and Kenya and comparing the climates in the different countries. We will be looking at the way people live, plant life and animal life. The children will be exploring maps and where these places are located, including the seas that connect them.

Pupil Voice:

Luke: The aerial photos show that buildings are made by humans and things like the trees are natural and were made by God.

The RE units for Autumn term were:

Beginnings

Signs & Symbols

Preparations

Our RE topics have shaped the concepts (or as we call them in Year Two 'ideas') feeding our project this term are:

Influence, Belief, Community and Identity.

All of these ideas have created the enquiry question of ;

How is the future shaped?

Year Two will be looking at significant individuals in the past and significant events in the past to help answer this question. We will start by looking at inventors in the first half term and then move on to looking at other influential people in the second half of the autumn term.
