Science Intent Statement
The Son is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn over all creation. For in him all things were created: things in heaven and on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or powers or rulers or authorities; all things have been created through him and for him. He is before all things, and in him all things hold together
Colossians 1: 15-17
Through Science, pupils at St Cuthbert's Catholic Primary School will develop an essential knowledge about God's world around them and take part in scientific investigations. The children will have an opportunity to become knowledgeable about the three areas of Science: Biology, Chemistry and Physics. Through building a key foundational knowledge and an understanding of scientific concepts, pupils will be able to recognise the power of rational explanation, with the correct use of scientific vocabulary. This core subject is taught according to our FAIR values.
