Having all lived through a challenging year and with the recognition that our children’s wellbeing is at the heart of all that we do as a community and school, we would love to enlist your help in creating a warm, comfortable area with a range of resources and books that children can access and use in order to explore and address a wide variety of wellbeing needs (although not all books are appropriate to be freely available so some will only be used with teacher support as deemed suitable by the school wellbeing team and class teachers).  In order to create this wellbeing area, we are looking for people to contribute to a given area outlined below.  We have a range of items on the ‘wish list’ and have grouped the topics of books together with the average book price of around £8 it would be great for us all to be able to help ‘sponsor’ an area of the library.

We have set up various PayPal ‘pools’.  For example, you might want to purchase a book for the library and so click on the appropriate book PayPal pool to make your donation (the average book cost is approx. £7 as a suggested donation).  We also have some additional items we would like to include such as weighted blankets and weighted toys to add comfort and a cuddly friend for the children when using this area, if you are able to contribute a little more to help us reach our goals.

We are looking to develop this space over time and will add more titles as teachers and the wellbeing team identify items to address the children’s needs so we also have a general PayPal pool to contribute to if preferred:

All of our children will benefit from this space, so please help us bring this project to life and enable our children to have a safe space to sit and work with their teachers to promote positive self-esteem and wellbeing.
