In year three, we are listening to different types of music, discussing how the songs make us feel an how they are put together, learning about the difference of chorus, verse, bridge, intro etc.
A key focus during the Autumn term, was to rehearse for the performance at the opening of the Museum Exhibition for the Year 3 Authentic Outcome. To match the theme, we learned the song
'The Romans came to Britain'. The children worked hard on learning the lyrics and actions along to the song and delivered a fantastic performance to their parents.
An other focus is to learn about how rhythms are made up by different lengths of notes and the children are not only able to copy back a rhythm they hear, but are also able to clap rhythms they see written on a stave.
