St Cuthbert's Catholic

Primary School

Year 4

During the Autumn Term, the children were working on their improvising skills; the children changed the lyrics to the well known Abba song 'Mamma Mia' to match their project learning about the Vikings. We then rehearsed and performed the song to the Year 4 parents at the beginning of their Exhibition, where they were showcasing their learning about Vikings:

We’ve been beaten by you

Since we don’t know when.

So we made up our mind,

It must come to an end.

Look at us now, will we ever learn!

We don’t know how.

But we suddenly lose control,

There’s a fire within our souls.

Just one look and we can hear them scream,

One more look and they’ll invade everywhere.

Oh no

Mamma mia! Here we go again

My my, fierce and vicious warriors.

Mamma mia! Here they come again.

My my, terrifying murderers.

NO, it’s the Vikings coming,

Swords and spears are clashing,

Why why, did they have to come again?

Mamma mia! Now we really know,

My my, they are after gold again.

We’ve been angry and scared

About things that they do.

We can’t count all the times,

That they’ve killed everything.

And when they go,

As they shout out loud

We think you know

That you won’t be away too long

As you know that we are not that strong.

Just one look and we can hear them scream,

One more look and they’ll invade everywhere.

Oh no

Mamma mia! Here we go again

My my, fierce and vicious warriors.

Mamma mia! Here they come again.

My my, terrifying murderers.

NO, it’s the Vikings coming,

Swords and spears are clashing,

Why why, did they have to come again?

Mamma mia! Now we really know,

My my, they are after gold again.
