Year Five Teaching Team
Trip to Guildford Spike - 29th March 2023
Our first trip this year took us to the Guildford Spike, an old workhouse.
We were treated to a short film about different people who had ended up at the workhouse and the reasons why they were there. We then had a tour of the workhouse and saw the conditions these people had to live in.
In our separate groups we were given a variety of activities, from investigating the crimes and punishments of real-life criminals to having different scenario cards of how best to run a functioning society.
We all had a really fun and informative day out.
