Year 4 worked with the Runnymede National Trust on this term’s Authentic Outcome. We began with a Zoom call with Jess from the National Trust who shared the struggles this beautiful site is having because of human impact. The children created posters that were then displayed around the site, to share with the public how we can help protect the land and the species within it. One lucky winner was chosen by a panel of professionals to have their poster enlarged and displayed long term at the Runnymede National Trust site! This was presented to the children by Mike, a professional resident artist.
Year 4 set up an outdoor exhibition, showcasing their DT and Art skills at the site. These included, wooden frames hung from trees, ‘guess the artist’ boxes and a hand painted stand for the public to take photos with!
Thank you to Jess, Mike and The National Trust for being our critical friends for our Authentic Outcome!
